The Short Form includes essential information about the parties, cargo, vessel, and terms of carriage, but presents it in a more concise format than a traditional bill of lading. It's commonly used in containerized shipping, regular trade routes, and when parties have established trading relationships. The document must comply with Qatar's Maritime Law No. 15 of 1980 and relevant international conventions, while also accommodating modern electronic trading practices under Qatar's Electronic Transactions Law.
