There are a number of things you can do to prepare for your interview including:
â€
â€
Conduct your research – find out as much as you can about ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ, the area you are interviewing for, and who you will be interviewed by. Lots of information is available on our website, which you will find useful to know before you meet with the selection panel. Please also create a Genie account and try each of our AI features our (’Create’. ‘Review’ and ‘Ask’).
â€
Listen to our podcast ‘Using AI’. You might also find the opinions of our founders on our Youtube channel useful.
â€
Analyse the job – familiarise yourself again with the Job Description and Person Specification so that you are clear on what the job entails. The interview panel will be looking for evidence that you meet the criteria for the job as outlined in the job description.
â€
Think of specific examples – based on the Person Specification criteria, come up with some specific examples from your current and previous work or academic experience that demonstrate to the interview panel that you are the best candidate for the job.
Read through your CV – be prepared to explain or elaborate on details you provided when applying for the job.
â€
If your interview is remote, check your connection and set up – make sure you have a quiet space, a stable internet connection, and the right equipment for your call. Should you wish to have a test call, for example, if you are not familiar with the calling software the panel is using, please ask your talent acquisition team member contact. If your interview is in person, plan your journey – make sure you know where you are going for your interview and plan in advance your route to get there, allowing for any potential transport delays.
â€
Lastly, but most importantly, please come along to interview as you true, authentic self:
â€
âï¸ Embrace your religious beliefs including comfortably wearing religious attire
â€
âï¸ Present yourself physically as you would everyday; we don’t need you to wear a more corporate hairstyle or turn up in a stiff suit
â€
âï¸ Tell us about what you like to do in your spare time; whether it’s gaming, walking your dogs, movie marathons, knitting, hiking, musical interests…. if you love it, we want to hear about it!
â€
âï¸ Talk how you talk! We don’t need to hear a professional, corporate voice! We want to hear your innovative ideas in your accent & individual tone!
â€
âï¸ Tell us about your children or plans to build a family; this isn’t going to deter us from offering you a job at Genie!
â€
âï¸ We want to hear about where you are from; we believe diversity in the workplace leads to diversity of thought and we welcome it massively!
