Our Founders
Rafie Faruq, CEOÂ and Co-founder
Rafie is a lifelong programmer with an MSc in Machine Learning. Being a former derivatives trader and having studied philosophy and economics at university, he enjoys thinking laterally to re-create the legal infrastructure of tomorrow. Rafie previously ran another tech startup that scaled to tens of thousands of users, and is particularly interested in building a legal community that can open source legal knowledge and contracts. Along the journey he has advised the Law Policy Commission, published on the Law Society, and represented the Ministry of Justice on foreign trade missions.
Nitish Mutha, CTOÂ and Co-founder
From an early age, Nitish loved to tinker with electronics, programming and robotics. Initially working as a software engineer for 5 years where he developed software that 1 in 10 Americans use today. Nitish then moved to the UK to complete his MSc in Machine learning at UCL, where he was taught by the creators of Deepmind. Inspired by the potential that AI has to improve access to legal knowledge, Nitish and Rafie set out to disrupt the legal industry and started building ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ while still at UCL.
