AI tools allow small firms to handle more clients and matters simultaneously. Thomson Reuters' acquisition of Casetext for $650 million in 2023 aimed to enhance AI capabilities in legal research and workflow, potentially increasing productivity for law firms of all sizes.[142] The integration of CoCounsel Core with Westlaw Precision provides users access to an extensive suite of legal generative AI tools, including assistance with contract analysis, document review, and deposition preparation.[143]
